History of EHNA
T
he East Hill Neighborhood Association
was begun in 2004 when Ms Collen McCollugh approached the City of Pensacola about issues in the neighborhood. A neighborhood watch was discussed but the City at that time, was promoting the idea of neighborhood associations. East Hill Neighborhood Assoc. was one of the first to organize. With a hat-tip to the North Hill Neighborhood Assoc the longest standing association in the City, EHNA is second. Collen was the first president and a Board of Directors was elected. EHNA has continuously served the East Hill neighborhood since that time.
Members of the BoD's meet monthly on a volunteer basis. 100% of funds raised go to neighborhood improvement projects. Funds come from neighbors, individuals, families and businesses, who join the EHNA and pay an annual fee. We also conduct fund raisers a good example is our bi-annual Tour of Homes.
