February Quarterly Tree Ordinance Will you attend?

East Hillians are passionate about trees especially our oaks. If you wanna get folks riled up cut one down. It’s been our experience that a lot of us are passionate about trees and that most of us know very little about the ordinance that controls what can and can’t be done when it comes to the trees on our property.

To aide our understanding of the Tree Ordinance–we will have all the experts at the February EHNA quarterly meeting. Scheduled to be there are a person from City Parks. The person that wrote our current tree ordinance and two Arborists. Gulf Power Co. tree trimming supervisor will be present to respond to your questions about their work.

The meeting’s purpose is to learn about the current ordinance not debate it. Bring your questions and let us know if you will attend so that we have enough space. Depending on attendance, the location could move. Stay tuned here and to our website for updates. (www.myeasthill.org).

First quarter 2019 meeting

Hold the date and standby for more updates. The topic of the quarterly meeting is TREES! East Hill is noted for its trees and the tree canopy in East Hill is significant to Pensacola overall. Do you understand our existing tree ordinances? The more we (The Board) asks the more we find that the details of the existing tree ordinance are unknown. To help fix this the topic of our first quarterly meeting of 2019 is Trees. The goal is to help all of us better understand this valuable resource.
